Welcome to the pond tadpoles!

What is conduct and what are consequences for bad behavior?

Dear Tadpoles,
Conduct is extremely important for to know for incoming 6th graders.  Conduct are letter: S, N, and U that you get on your report card in addition to your academical grades.  S is the best conduct grade; the one you should be aiming for.  This means the teacher rarely had tot get on you for talking in class or calling out.  S's are worth 2 conduct points each.  N's are the average conduct grade, rather like a C.  This means the teacher had to get on you several times a week.  N's are worth 1 conduct point.  U's are the worst conduct grade you could get, meaning that the teacher had to get on you daily and it would ensure a U if you were sassy about it.  Conduct points decide whether you can participate in the fun activities Frogtown plans like the conduct parties, the end of the year field trip, and the kickball tournament.  If you do choose to misbehave, there are a wide plethora of consequences waiting....

If you don't keep you conduct points up, or in other words, misbehave, there are many nasty punishments waiting. For example, your first warning may come in the form of a lunch detention.  This is when you have to eat lunch on stage.  This is not fun because you have to get you lunch last.  Your next warning will come with a behavior slip, a slip you have to take home and have your parents sign.  You will next recieve an ASD - After school detention - that you will have to serve  after school.  After that, you will be sentenced to  dean's refferal that permanantly goes on your record.  If you're really swinging for the fences, you will end up with a Saturday School, where you have to come to school for 3 hours.  I have heard that you have to do all sorts of nasty things like scrape gum off of the bottoms of desks.  So tadpoles, hopefully you will have a successful and untroublefull year as a frog!
